Phantom Empire (1987)

An Amazon warrior woman leads a team of adventurers in Phantom Empire (1987). When a man-eating monster emerges from an underground cavern with a fortune in uncut diamonds around its neck, Denae Chambers (Susan Stokey), eager to emerge from the shadow of her famous scientist father, proposes leading an expedition into the caverns to search for more jewels. Accompanying her are archaeologist Andrew Paris (Jeffrey Combs), mineralogist Prof. Strock (Robert Quarry), and Cort Eastman (Ross Hagen) and Eddy Colchilde (Dawn Wildsmith), owners of the C&C Salvage Company. There are a few familiar faces in this '80s camp classic (including Sybil Danning as an alien queen), but you'll really take a walk down mammary lane when you get a load of scream queen Michelle Bauer as a topless "cave bunny". While there's just enough masturbation fuel in this flick to get off a handful of times, Mr. Skin can't help but wish there were a few more scenes worth wanking to. Nevertheless, Phantom Empire provides plenty of trashy and cheesy fun. It's reminiscent a bit of Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Time Machine, and Forbidden Planet, and other pulp sci fi films. It bears all the hallmarks with half-naked ladies, cannibal monsters, bad special effects, gore, and plenty of other wild features. If you're in the mood to try something a little different, you may want to give this one a try. It's one of those movies that is embarrassingly awful or enjoyably bad depending on how you want to look at it, and it has some boobs too!
