After working on such cult classics as Performance (1970), Vampyres (1974), Blue Sunshine (1976) and Squirm (1976), Brian Smedley-Aston writes and directs Paul Raymond’s Erotica (1981). This pseudo-documentary features Gallic goddess Brigitte Lahaie as a French reporter named Brigitte. She’s on assignment in London to investigate the cabarets run by porn king Paul Raymond, the man behind Mayfair and Men Only magazines. As such, his clubs all feature naked ladies dancing in (and often out of) slinky aerobics outfits to pounding disco beats. The more Brigitte sees, the more more more she wants to join in. Yes, the brainy babe decides to exchange her typewriter for some tassels to become a professional stripper too. Did this spoiler just spoil your trousers? If not, get a load of Ms. Lahaie as she repeatedly sheds her threads to have sex with just about everyone in sight — including herself!
