If Patricia Clarkson Wants To Go Topless, Then Patricia Clarkson Should Be Topless
Normally I’m okay with “unwritten rules” like don’t make eye contact in the men’s room, saying thank you for a gift you really didn’t want, and never taking the last of anything without asking. But sometimes there are “unwritten rules” that I can’t abide by, like the cut off age for someone to be nude on screen. Thankfully, Patricia Clarkson is the same way.
I understand it’s not for everyone, we all have our types, our own ideas of beauty, but I would never tell someone else their idea is wrong. I still happen to find Patricia Clarkson sexy and if she wants to do a sex scene and show off her breasts like she does in her new movie Learning to Drive,then more power to her. As she told Express she was totally fine with what her character had to do in the film:
"I wanted all of that. I thought it was potent and sexy and necessary. This is a woman who has it all. My generation had a lot. We did not have the struggles my mother had. (My character) has a whole life but she forgot to take it in. She just forgot to look up and listen and to let somebody in. Yes, ok, her husband has an affair and walks out her. That's never a good thing, but she is complicit. She has to re-think her life. She doesn't have to find a new self. She has to find a better self. It's a journey we can all relate to."
It should also be noted that Patricia Clarkson doesn’t drive that much, which lead to an interesting exchange about how she gets around town, the interview asked if she carried around nude to which she quickly replied:
She laughs: "Yes. That is a prerequisite. Whoever carried me, I must be naked. My God, the image of that on the streets of New York."
If Patricia Clarkson feels beautiful and is confident in the way she looks topless, then why not show it off? Personally, I think confidence is a beautiful thing, just like a topless Patricia Clarkson. If you want to check out the full video interview, go here.
