Yesterday Sony released the trailer for its highly anticipated operatic space adventure Passengers, and towards the end of the lengthy clip we get a peek at undies-clad star Jennifer Lawrence submerged in a liquid space blob! Ifyou're thirsty for some Jennifer Lawrence nudity, you too might have a liquid space blob after checking out the scene! Considering that Jennifer would have supposidely stripped down before her globular encounter, there's a chance we'll see some more underwear action from the gorgeous A-lister in the movie, maybe. Oh yeah, YOU'LL HAVE A GLOBULAR ENCOUNTER TOO.
We're going to be hearing a lot about Passengers leading up to its Christmas day release, mostly because the mula surrounding this behemoth is fairly staggering for a non-franchise flick: The movie cost "$120 Million" aka $150 million, and J Law is making an alleged $20 million while costar Chris Pratt is pulling in $12 million - a compensation disparity that is not lost on industry peeps. Since studios have recently relied so heavily on the public's craving for "member berries" (for all you South Park fans), creating a stand alone blockbuster untethered to preexisting characters is more of a challenge than it used to be. Chris Pratt's Jurassic World, Guardians of the Galaxy, and ugh, The Magnificent Seven all rely on built in fan bases. The same goes for Jennifer Lawrence'swork on theX-Men and of course The Hunger Games franchises.
Passengers offers up an old school romantic drama with two of the biggest names in Hollywood. Aurora (Lawrence) and Jim (Pratt) wake up from their sleeping chambers 90 years too early on a spacecraft headed to an intergalactic homestead. While they struggle with this bummer news, the two realize that all of the still-hibernating passengers are in danger due to a ship malfunction or whatever. Will. They. Save. Things.
