OP ruft Dr. Bruckner was one of the many German medical series produced in the mid-nineties. However, thanks to its very realistic approach to the material it earned a successful run for about three years. The title role was played by Bernhard Schir, an Austrian who once described OP ruft Dr. Bruckner as “the Rolls Royce of all medical series.” Although this may be slightly exaggerated, the show was definitely an entertaining and well-acted production.
