Casting Questions Loom Large.

Variety is reporting that ABC is close to giving a pilot order to a remake of the classic TV series Charlie’s Angels, whose braless starlets earned the show the moniker of “Jiggle TV.”

There have been several attempts over the last three decades to revive the show, which featured '70s sex symbols Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack, Tanya Roberts, and Farrah Fawcett naked (or almost) in tight jeans and tighter t-shirts.

The most successful has been the 2000 film version and its 2003 sequel, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, starring with Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu as three of the sexiest secret agents this side of Diana Rigg.

Now that it looks like ABC is going to green-light this new series in the wake of the sci-fi reboot V’s enormous success, it’s time to start casting some heavenly bodies.

With Broadway facing falling ticket sales, promoters have decided to fall back on the one thing that always guarantees cheeks on the seats (and wadded up tissue under them), female nudity.

To that (rear) end, Mr Skin Hall-of-Famer Mary-Louise Parker will take the stage and do what she does breast!

Hedda Gabler, Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen’s classic story of a neurotic woman who attempts to make a success of her husband with disastrous results, opens at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway this month with Weeds star Mary-Louise in the lead.

Born Neil Megson in Manchester, Genesis P-Orridge is a living legend of underground culture. Along with doing dozens of collaborations over the years, Genesis was a founding member of experimental collective COUM Transmissions and the pioneering bands Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV and Thee Majesty.

On October 9th 2007, Genesis’s second wife and Psychic TV bandmate Lady Jaye Breyer P-Orridge died unexpectedly. The two were in the midst of a series of surgeries designed to make the pair into identical “pandrogynes.”

Genesis has carried on the Pandrogyny Project and an amazingly prolific creative output. Genesis’ band Psychic TV has a new album out called Mr. Alien Brain Vs. The Skinwalkers on Cargo/Sweet Nothing Records.

A few months back, Genesis did a phone interview with Mr Skin’s C.G. Hilliard and this is an excerpt of their long, fascinating conversation.

Today is the 31st birthday of one of my favorite British racktresses, London native Rachel Stirling. So it seems like a good time to muse on her greatest work to date, the lesbian-laden three-part BBC miniseries Tipping the Velvet. In this Sapphic serial, the title of which is old British slang for rug-munching, Rachel plays a working class oyster picker who becomes a high-class clam digger when she discovers the hidden world of Victorian vag-itarians. Over the course of her sexual awakening, Rachel grinds groins with other girls, gets her carpet cleaned, and even walks among a crowd of women wearing nothing but gold body paint and a huge strap-on dildo. Rachel's hotness comes with a pedigree; her mother is Diana Rigg (Emma Peel from The Avengers), who was second only to The Beatles as Britain's hottest export in the swinging sixties.
