Memorial Day weekend is almost here! Before you crack open a beer and fire up the grill, take a moment to remember the beautiful, talented skin stars who passed away before their time. No words can express the loss we all feel at losing women like the classy Natasha Richardson, the sweet and sexy Brittany Murphy, and lovely legend Farrah Fawcett. Luckily, we'll always have their movies to remember them by. Here's to you, ladies. We'll never forget you.

Hugh Hefner is such a cultural icon, it's not enough to have two different documentaries (Hugh Hefner: Once Upon a Time, 1992, and Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist, Rebel, 2009) made about him: now Warner Brothers is gearing up to start production on Playboy, a biopic tracing Hefner's journey from a puritanical Midwestern upbringing to the vanguard of the sexual revolution.
If all this sounds vaguely familiar, that's because Playboy was stuck in "development Hell" at Universal Pictures for years before Warner Brothers resurrected the property, with director Brett Ratner and actors Robert Downey Jr. and Hugh Jackman all attached at one point or another.
So who's swooping in to make Playboy a reality? Hollywood producer Jerry Wientraub, the man behind the Ocean's Eleven franchise and The Karate Kid, who's been married to singer/actress Jane Morgan since 1965...and living with his girlfriend Susie Ekins since the early '90s. Sounds like these two legendary players have a lot in common.

Tesco Vee has been at the forefront of punk since the days when a Mohawk and a spiked collar was a political statement, not a fashion statement...although the only political statement Tesco would make is that "Politics Suck."
As he told Skin Central: "All the other bands were railing against Reagan and social injustice, and I was writing songs about poop and boners."
He founded the legendary punk 'zine Touch and Go while working as an elementary school teacher in Michigan in 1979, then watched his creation grow into a rallying point for fledgling punk and hardcore scenes scattered across the USA and eventually into a record label.
He's also the front man for The Meatmen, a punk rock powerhouse with an outrageous live show and hilariously politically incorrect songs like Camel Jockeys Suck, Blow Me Jah, French People Suck, and Lesbian Death Dirge.
Now Tesco's infectious brand of potty-mouthed humor has been re-introduced to the world with the reformation of The Meatmen in 2008 and the collection of every issue of his famous 'zine into the book Touch and Go: The Complete Hardcore Punk Zine '79-'83, published by Bazillion Points.
We caught up with Tesco driving around his home state of Michigan, and he proved himself to be very much a man after Mr. Skin's own hard-on.

Sad news from the Hollywood Hills today: the body of Yvette Vickers, a former Playboy playmate and star of many 50's sci-fi potboilers, was found dead at her home in Beverly Hills this morning. She was 82 years old.
Born in St. Louis in 1928, Yvette Vickers moved to California in the late '40s to attend UCLA, where she discovered acting. Her first film was a small part in Sunset Boulevard(1950), and after dropping out of school, Yvette had small roles in a few Hollywood pictures before striking it big on the B-movie circuit.
Blonde haired, blue eyed, and voluptuous, Yvette's curvy body and innocent face were a perfect combination for the drive-in screens of the 1950s. She had dozens of roles in sci-fi and horror pictures, but is best known for her femme fatale roles in Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1958) and Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959). She was Playboy's July 1959 Playmate of the Month, and appeared in the magazine in a spread photographed by Russ Meyer.
Ms. Vickers, who lived alone, had not been seen around her neighborhood for quite some time. When a concerned neighbor came to check on the elderly actress, she discovered a decomposing body in her bedroom. At first, the body couldn't be identified due to its mummified state; later, officials confirmed it was Ms. Vickers' and said she could have been dead for up to a year before being discovered. Susan Savage, the neighbor who found the body, said:
"She kept to herself, had friends and seemed like a very independent spirit. To the end, she still got cards and letters from all over the world requesting photos."
Yvette now joins such luminaries as Marilyn Monroe, Anna Nicole Smith, Jayne Mansfield, and Claudia Jennings in Playmate paradise. See these dearly departed hotties and more in Mr. Skin's Dead Playboy Playmates playlist!
