Happy nude year, everybody- only 354 days until the end of the world as we know it!

Skin Central isn't worried about the end of the Mayan calendar on December 21, 2012. In fact, we're kind of looking forward to life in the post-apocalyptic wastelands.

Why? Because movies have taught us that even if civilization comes to a halt, babes will still take off their clothes. If anything, they'll be nuder (like the topless roller-derby cult of Roller Blade, left) than ever before. 2012! We believe!

New Nudes are Big News!

“Even the greatest art works can be revitalized by new technologies,” writes Ben Greenman in the latest issue of The New Yorker.

And he’s not talking about the restoration of the Sistine Chapel.

Rather, he’s referring to the painstaking work that goes on everyday at the skinlabs here at MrSkin.com. Namely, checking to see if Heather Graham’s naked butt is visible in the newly released Blu-ray version of James Toback’s Two Girls and a Guy.

Since movies began appearing in the high-definition Blu-ray format in June of 2006, Mr. Skin’s technicians haven been re-watching every available movie to see if anything has changed in terms of nudity.

The results have been more than surprising. In fact, they’re downright skintastic, as the Huffington Post reports.

In the blockbuster action sequel Crank 2: High Voltage (2009), Jason Statham reprises his role as hit man Chev Chelios. This time around, Chinese gangsters have stolen Chev’s heart and replaced it with an artificial one that he has to keep charged by repeated electric shocks. Along the way he meets up with a prostitute named Ria (Bai Ling), his old girlfriend Eve Lydon (Amy Smart), and the leader of the Asian street gang The Triads, Poon Dong (David Carradine). There’s nudity from Bai Ling as well as porn star Jenna Haze, Amy Smart’s body double, and some uncredited extras. Best of all, there’s a lip slip from Amy as the dude she's wrestling with hikes up her thong. Crank? Spank.
