Northern Exposure

Well produced and full of quirky offbeat humor, this unusual mixture of comedy and drama was able to snag no less than fourteen awards and sixteen additional nominations between 1990 and 1995. Northern Exposure’s highly competent original cast consisted of Rob Morrow, Barry Corbin, and Janine Turner while equally talented actors like Anthony Edwards, Graham Greene, and Teri Polo joined the series in subsequent seasons. At the series’ outset, the story centers on Joel Fleishman (Morrow), fresh out of med school and fresh out of luck. Failing to read the fine print of his scholarship conditions, Fleishman learns that he has no choice but to move to the remote and somewhat eccentric town of Cicely, Alaska. Over the course of his residency, viewers get personally acquainted with every quirky character on the show. While the main focus would usually be on the ongoing love/hate relationship between Joel and Maggie (Turner), the writers were clever enough to give every character their own spotlight now and again. Nudity Report: None that I know of! For a little bit of Northern Exposure of lovely supporting actress Teri Polo you should check out the 1993 B-thriller Quick. There the brown-eyed blonde reveals her small-nippled mini funbags on two occasions, one showcasing Teri and Martin Donovan screwing in a car – make sure to check it out. Furthermore Janine Turner’s assets can be seen during her 2000 visit to the gynaecologist in Robert Altman’s Dr. T and the Women which is well worth a look as well.
