National Security (2003)

Flaming car crashes and caustic wisecracks propel the Martin Lawrence action-comedy vehicle National Security (2003). Lawrence stars as a relentlessly acerbic pest who flops as a cop before taking out his anger on upstanding officer Hank Rafferty (Steve Zahn). After Rafferty’s booted off the police force, he winds up working alongside his nemesis at a security gig where the pair strikes up a cautious alliance. The rest of the plot is all rattling semi-automatics and exploding gas tanks as Lawrence and Zahn dodge bullets and dirty jokes. Don’t dodge the beautiful Mari Morrow--she gives a barely covered lap dance to Officer Lawrence that will make you wish you were a cop.
