My Life as a Dog (1985) gets its title from Laika, the famous Russian dog who was blasted into space and left there to slowly die. That's how our boy protagonist "Ingemar" feels after his mother is too sick to care for him and he's sent off to live with a kooky uncle who listens only to "I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts" in Swedish over and over again. Thankfully for our hero's coconuts, he befriends the local tomboy, who works off her nascent sexual urges by boxing. She has Ingemar bind her tits so she won't be found out as a girl and thrown off the soccer team. Ingemar gets another close encounter with naked womanly flesh in the tempting and far more developed form of Ing-Marie Carlsson, who asks him to accompany her to a sculptor's studio. When he gets a look at skinful modeling, this dog howls.
