Hugh Grant is a huge has-been who thinks the world should grant him a comeback. Once an ’80s pop star, he's now starring in goofy nostalgic revues at theme parks and county fairs. When Hugh finally gets his chance to walk on sunshine once more, it comes in the come-worthy shape of teener diva Haley Bennett, who wants him to write Music and Lyrics (2007) for a duet with her. But there's a problem: he's no good at lyrics, and he has less than a week to whip it into shape . . . and whip it good. Enter Drew Barrymore, who wets Mr. Skin's tastebuds as the girl who waters Hugh's plants; she's an okay poet, she's good with words, maybe this "lyricist" stuff is something Drew can do? Turns out that she's on the rebound, though, and is reluctant to make beautiful music with anyone. How can Hugh get through to Drew, and will they do the hoochie coo?
