Munich (2005)

Great Nudity!

Review

Never again, the Jews promise in response to the atrocities of the Holocaust. The Chosen People have their homeland, Israel, but they’re still under attack from enemies that seek to destroy them. In Munich (2005), the Israeli secret service organizes a select group of hit men to assassinate the terrorists responsible for the murder of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. Based on the George Jonas book “Vengeance” (1984), the R rated film received Oscar nominations for Best Picture, Director, Adapted Screenplay, Editing, and Original Score. During its initial release, audiences may have been expecting to root for the Israelis, but director Steven Spielberg didn’t make a Rambo-like action flick. Instead, his historical drama explores the shadows between the seemingly black-and-white issues — not to mention some fine flesh tones in between! When a new bride (Lisa Werlinder) stands by a bed amid burning debris, her panties and naked chest are actually the smokiest things in the scene. If that’s not (literally) hot enough, the Dutch assassin Jeanette (Marie-Josée Croze) flashes her beautiful breasts and fluffy muff when her robe opens after having been shot by Steve (Daniel Craig) and Avner Kaufman (Eric Bana). If it weren’t for the blood, her full frontal nudity would be a skintastic sight to see. Nevertheless, her corpse is still dead sexy. But what a waste of a gorgeous body. Although the movie is one of Spielberg’s lowest-grossing films at the domestic box office, it’s one of his best regarding spank bank returns!
