Few actresses make nude debuts as explosive as Jodie Foster’s in The Accused. (Jodie’s earlier nude scenes in The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane were actually doubled by her older sister. Though she does offer up a good amount of boobage in The Accused, it all comes during a brutal disturbing scene. Still, the Academy awarded Jodie’s effortsas they would three years later for Silence of the Lambswith an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Luckily Jodie followed up her win with more-pleasant nude scenes in Backtrack and Nell, but neither brought her Oscar gold, though Nell did score her a fourth nomination.
