Most Wanted

Most Wanted was a mid-seventies attempt at creating a successful action drama series. The story centered on a special unit of L.A. policemen, part of a covert group created by the mayor, Dan Stoddard (Hari Rhodes), in the hopes of apprehending certain “most wanted” criminals. Each week Captain Linc Evers (Robert Stack) and his co-workers Sergeant Charlie Benson (Shelly Novack) and Officer Kate Manners (Jo Ann Harris) were sent out to capture a different criminal. There was no nudity on this boob tube series, which is probably why it got cancelled after its initial twenty-two episodes. Leading actress Jo Ann Harris, however, was quite forthcoming in the early stages of her career.
