Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter? (1993)

No Nudity

Review

A mother fights to save her teenage daughter from drugs and prostitution in the true crime drama Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter? (1993). Diana Moffit (Jamie Luner) is a happy 17-year-old who falls into a depression when her parents divorce. She begins a relationship with an older pimp, A.J. Treece (Antonio Sabàto, Jr.), who turns her on to drugs and convinces her to drop out of school to work as a stripper. Her mother Gayle Moffitt (Linda Gray) struggles in vain to rescue her daughter, but Diana is in too deep and is eventually mysteriously murdered. Gayle is convinced that A.J. is responsible for Diana's death but the police cannot find any evidence against him. Gayle takes it upon herself to find the proof of his guilt and help another one of his prostitutes, April (Alanna Ubach), escape. No nudity in this made-for-TV movie, but Jamie Luner bares plenty of skin as the schoolgirl turned stripper. She pole dances on stage wearing panties and pasties before being confronted by her scandalized mother. That’s a lesson from the school of hard knockers!
