Miss Montigny (2005)

A teenager is pushed into a beauty pageant by her ambitious mother in Miss Montigny (2005). 19-year-old Sandrine (Sophie Quinton) lives in a small town and works an uninspiring job at the supermarket. She dreams of one day opening her own beauty salon but does not have the funds to finance it. When Sandrine’s mother hears about a local beauty pageant, she prods Sandrine to enter the contest to gain some recognition and hopefully help secure a loan for the salon.
