Mirror My Love (2012)

What comes after "Happily Ever After"? That's the question faced by newlywed Snow White (Judith Chemla) in the French fantasy Miror Mon Amour (Mirror My Love) (2012). After Snow White and her prince return to his castle to live happily ever after, the Prince's delighted parents insist that their new in-laws come by for a visit. But Snow White is less than thrilled about her parents' visit. She watches with increasing resentment and rage as her mother (Fanny Ardant) seduces every man in sight-- including her beloved Prince. If you think that fairy tales are, well, for fairies, just fast-forward to the scene where Judith strips completely naked and threatens to stab herself with a very fancy knife. Nice poison apples!
