Review

It's been three years since scientists Mira Sorvino and Jeremy Northam cooked up a genetically engineered bug called the Judas Breed, an insect with enzymes that spelled end times for New York City's roaches. But the Judas Breed has come back to betray them big time in Mimic (1997). Not only have these supposed-to-be-sterile terribles developed the ability to reproduce, they've also grown gigantic, developed a taste for flesh, and have figured out how to mimic pretty much any other species, including that of their creators . . . those toothsome humans! It seems there's a whole swarm of these creepy creatures living in the subway system, and the only way to save the day is to go down into the depths with them (and with subway employee Charles S. Dutton) to try to stop them before they take over everything.
