Review

Hugh Grant as a Kansas City mobster named Mickey Blue Eyes (1999)? Fuggedaboudit! Why would the stammering limey even try to pass himself off as a wiseguy? The answer is simple: Jeanne Tripplehorn! Hugh's not only triple-horny for her, he's also hugely in love, and he wants to tie the knot with Jeanne and bada-bang her into next week. She's a schoolteacher who's hiding a big secret—her dad (James Woods) is a major mafioso. While proposing to her at a Little Italy eatery, Hugh inadvertently stumbles upon the truth and tumbles headlong into a mess that soon has him laundering money and pretending to be a mobster. Juicy Jeanne's spicy meat-a-balls nearly make an appearance when she wiggles into a slinky red number, and, less excitingly, Scott Thompson and Burt Young also put in fine performances.
