You may not know Mary Mara by name, but chances are you’ve seen her in some of the several supporting roles she’s scored. Since getting her BA from San Francisco State University and MFA from Yale, the brainy beauty has been working on the big and small screens. In 1989, the appealing ingénue marked her film and television debuts. She appeared in Kathryn Bigelow’s action thriller Blue Steel starring Jamie Lee Curtis and in the TV movie The Preppie Murder (1989) alongside William Baldwin and Lara Flynn Boyle. Throughout the years, the busy babe exposed her … range in the dramedy Mr. Saturday Night (1992) with Billy Crystal, the rom-com Love Potion No. 9 (1992) with Sandra Bullock, and the neo-noir thriller Bound (1996) featuring Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon. Needless to say, Mary was rubbing shoulders with Hollywood A-listers. But oh, how Mr. Skin would love to rub her shoulders too! Instead, he (and we) got to enjoy Ms. Mara’s boob tube presence via her recurring role as Inspector Bryn Carson on Nash Bridges (1996-1997). The pretty performer also popped up on plenty of popular primetime shows (ER, NYPD Blue, Ally McBeal, Becker, Boston Public, Star Trek: Enterprise, Monk, Nip/Tuck, Dexter, etc.). Yet, here at Skin Central, we prefer Mary’s titillating turn in the TV movie Stranger Inside (2001). The women in prison drama stars Yolonda Ross, but the real scene stealers are Mary’s bare breasts! It took a long time to see her flesh, but it was worth the wait!
