Manchester by the Sea (2016)

Manchester by the Sea, a Bay State movie that launched the serious career of Casey Affleck, is predominately about grief. He plays Lee Chandler, a man who has lost connection to his family and his hometown in a terrible accident, has to return to care for his recently deceased brother's 16-year-old son. This requires him to be a family man once again, and it also forces him to begin to come to terms with his past. It's there he runs into his once-wife, played by Michelle Williams, and one of his nephew's girlfriends (Anna Baryshnikov), who strips down to her bra to get it on with him while Casey and a cleavagey Heather Burns are downstairs. We see flashbacks of his brother and his brother's wife (Gretchen Mol), who lies pantsless on the couch passed out during one scene! Manchester by the Sea will have you spewing salty spray!
