Best known as the lead singer of the Swedish rock band The Sounds, Scandinavian ice queen Maja Ivarsson is a powerhouse of rock 'n' roll talent and a hottie to boot. As a performer, Maja has appeared on television shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live, Last Call with Carson Daly, F-List, and Bam's Unholy Union here in the US, and a dozen or so other programs in her native Sweden. She first gained some notoriety in the US when she was featured in Cobra Starship’s single and music video “Snakes on a Plane (Bring It),” the song that accompanied the movie of the same name. The video features the blonde hottie in an unbuttoned shirt that shows off portions of her naked breasts beneath the gaping fabric, and it’s pretty sizzling. (FYI, the video also includes a cameo by Samuel L. Jackson, star of Snakes on a Plane—you know, “I’m tired of these mother fucking snakes on this mother fucking plane!”). In the summer of 2009, both Maja and her band, The Sounds, gained a few more US fans when they opened for No Doubt on their North American tour, along with Paramore. In addition to playing the French horn (she started when was eight), she also plays the electric guitar, which she picked up when she was 13. She’s also been known to study kickboxing, Thai boxing, and karate. And that awesome rocker mane of blonde hair? She got signed by American haircare company Sebastian Professional to appear in promotional campaigns. The Sounds are still putting out music and appearing live. And Maja is still hot.
