Made In Canada

No Nudity

Review

Made in Canada is an extremely popular Canadian (who would have guessed?) comedy show which has been running successfully since 1998. Known in the US as The Industry, it’s basically a biting satire that centers on a Canadian media company named “Pyramid / Prodigy Productions.” We learn about the internal backstabbings, plastic surgery among employees, sex on boardroom desks, and the firing of Kiefer Sutherland’s brother in law. Two indicators of the show’s quality are A) the fact that it was able to collect no less than twenty-five award nominations (fourteen wins) and B) the impressive list of guest stars which includes Sarah Polley, Maury Chaykin, Jennifer Dale, and the aforementioned Kiefer Sutherland. As a bonus, young Canuck Emily Hampshire, who plays the role of “Siobhan Roy,” revealed that she most likely is a trimmer in the thriller Happy Face Murders. Note: the scene in question is not pretty since Emily’s supposed to be dead at that point...
