Review

The tragic life of singer Alys Robi gets dramatized in Ma Vie En Cinémascope (2004). Born Alice Robitaille in Quebec City, sultry chanteuses Alys Robi (Pascale Bussières) hit the big time after changing her name and winning over crowds in Montreal. But her frequent bouts of manic depression were largely misunderstood and were ultimately “cured” with a lobotomy. If a movie about a mental breakdown doesn’t seem particularly sexy, just wait until you see Pascale Bussières’ T&A as she rolls around in bed 28-minutes in. Plus more doomed danglers and duff from Pascale as she’s subjected to an institutional ice bath 1-hour 16-minutes in. You’ll go cuckoo for those perky puffs!
