M comme Mathieu (1973)

Sami Frey is Mathieu, and Mathieu is one lucky dude—he's married to Brigitte Fossey, and Brigitte isn't shy about sharing her teats. But things come undone in M comme Mathieu (1973), Jean-François Adam's symbol-packed French drama about identity, fantasy, truth, and mammaries. Sami gets a ride from the hospital from his wife, who drops him off and runs off to fetch their kiddo. When she returns, Sami confesses to her that he's in love with another lady. Strangely the other woman looks exactly like Brigitte, as we see when she comes to visit him and ride him to kingdom come. Are they two separate women who each share his bed, or has Sami let artsy-fartsy French symbolism go to his head?
