Lush Life

Any time Lori Petty is cast as a lead in anything, it usually ends up being a train wreck. (Do the words Tank Girl mean anything to you?) Lush Life was no exception. When hot girl Karyn Parsons (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) breaks up with her rich boyfriend, she moves in with trashy artist and best buddy Petty. Perhaps the show was too vulgar for most viewers because Petty’s character was openly slutty--this girl liked sex, chased after it, and encouraged her new roommate to do the same--with just a slight undercurrent of bi-sexual flirtation on Petty’s part. While that certainly sounds like a rock-solid premise to us, Middle America disagreed. Lush Life ended up in the gutter the same month that it aired. As for the stars of Lush Life, neither of them has shown us their lush loaves . . . yet. Karyn Parsons, a gorgeous light-skinned sister, has worked surprisingly little since her Fresh Prince days. While Susan Powter Finishing School of Beauty and Poise graduate Lori Petty is not the prettiest face on the block, that tight little body is to die for. She almost gave us a taste in Point Break, where she stood sexily with a nine-millimeter in an open button-down shirt. “I AM AN F-B-I AGENT! DROP THE GUN AND TAKE OFF THE SHIRT . . . SLOWLY!”
