You know Luenell. You’ve seen Luenell. And to know and see her is to love her. Starting out with humble beginnings in Tollette, Arkansas, as the youngest of eight children, this plus-sized beauty made her way to Los Angeles via Castro Valley High School in Castro Valley, California. She’s consistently appeared on screen since 2004—with a few cameos thrown in before that. She made her debut as a police records officer in the movie So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993) with Mike Myers, then played a tourist in The Rock (1996) with Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage. She calls herself “The Original Bad Girl of Comedy,” and in addition to her acting career, she’s a stand-up comedian who has toured with Katt Williams. Her big notice-me moment came when she appeared in Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006). From that point on, she was the larger than life personality everyone wanted in their project. She’s been in 46 feature films, 79 different TV series, and two music videos. That’s her in “Telephone” by Lady Gaga featuring Beyoncé and in “I Like Boys” by Todrick Hall. On the little screen, her regular series work includes the role of Rhonda in Californication from 2009-2014, Wendy in Lopez in 2017, and Laverne in Black Jesus from 2015-2019. If you want Luenell larger than life, you’ll find her in movies like All About Steve (2009) with Sandra Bullock, Taken 2 (2012) with Liam Neeson, Think Like a Man (2012) with Kevin Hart, A Star Is Born (the Gaga/Cooper version) (2018), and Dolemite Is My Name (2019) with Eddie Murphy, among dozens of others. What you’ll definitely want to check her out in, though, is the Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg comedy That’s My Boy (2012). Playing stripper Champale, Luenell shows off a lot of skin, including her enormous rack, which is barely covered with pasties. Now you know her even more.
