Lucky Day (1991) stars amazing Amy Madigan as a fiercely protective sis to Chloe Webb, a slightly retarded lady who's more than a little bit lucky. The luck comes up when she wins the lottery—suddenly, Chloe and Amy are in the money! But more money means more problems, and their nasty mama (Olympia Dukakis) shows up to get her hands on the dough. Olympia left the picture long ago, abandoning the family bond and giving up care of Chloe to her other daughter. Now ma is pushing her weight around and trying to play the caregiver, much to Amy's annoyance.
