It was thirteen years ago that a madman with one of those pirate-hook hands killed a bunch of horny teens and adulterous lovers at Lovers Lane during a Valentine's Day slaughterfest. Now, he has escaped from the insane asylum and intends to kill the children of the original couple, in the Indy horror flick Lovers Lane (1999). Based on the famous urban legend about car sex gone awry, the story follows a bunch of teenagers with connections to the original murder, from the cop's kid (Erin J. Dean) to the daughter of the killer's psychiatrist (Sarah Lancaster), as they're hunted by "the hook." It's a pretty basic slasher premise, and one that was already covered in stuff like Urban Legend (1998), but among slasher specialists, the film's pretty well known for having a surprisingly stellar cast and a solid heaping of of humor. For example, in what was her film debut Anna Faris, one year away from blowing up in Scary Movie (2000), plays the high school's only cheerleader who never removes her cheerleading uniform. That's sexy, though it'd be nice to see her pom-poms. As for the sex, Diedre Kilgore is topless in a car at the beginning of the movie, which is sure to get viewers' hands on their stick shifts. Sarah Lancaster also flashes her boobs, but it's dark and is actually a body double. Still, this lover's lane is a good place to park for a spell and check out the submarine races. You'll come for the kills and the cast of future "that guys", but what'll really get you hooked are all the lovely women in Lovers Lane
