Review

The millennial comedy flick Love’s Labour's Lost (2000) is an updated Shakespeare story about the King of Navarre and his fellow friends who decide that it’s about time to swear off women so that they can get some actual work done. The problem is that their celibate stints kicks off when the Princess of France and some of her equally fine looking friends come over for a visit. The guys immediately fall in love, but have to make up excuses for why they aren’t making any moves, and they also need to disguise their feelings so they won’t get them too off track from their resolved decision. Playing the Princess is Alicia Silverstone, and although there’s no nudity to speak of, she catches a few eyes with her shimmering green swimsuit, which we get to see up close while she wears it. Who wants to stay celibate anyway? Especially when temptation is so fun!
