Born and raised in New Mexico, Lora Martinez-Cunningham graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in Marketing, then received her Master’s in Business Management—a strange beginning for an actress, but college was also the place where she discovered her love of acting. Skipping the career in finance, Lora began auditioning and landing parts not long after graduation. Her first role was as Cecelia Tellez in the movie Homage (1995) with Blythe Danner, but it wasn’t until 2007 that she really began collecting titles for her resume. The daughter of a Spanish mother and a Cherokee/Irish father, the exotic beauty turned in TV appearances in Nip/Tuck, United States of Tara, Breaking Bad, In Plain Sight, Longmire, From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, and Get Shorty, as well as regular roles as Nurse Peppers in The Messengers in 2015; Officer Tina Gomez in Midnight, Texas; Agent O’Leary in Graves from 2016-2017, Laurel Jenson in T@gged from 2016-2018, and Lorraine in The Unsettling in 2019. The actress, who spells her name in the most kick-ass way to spell it, can also count the big-screen films The Book of Eli (2010) with Denzel Washington and Mila Kunis; Passion Play (2010) with Megan Fox, Mickey Rourke, and Bill Murray; as a sexily dressed and friendly stripper in Bare (2015) with Dianna Agron; Sicario (2015) with Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin, and Benecio Del Toro; Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015); Hell or High Water (2016) with Chris Pine and Jeff Bridges; and Gold(2016) with Matthew McConaughey, among a slew of others.
