A new breed of Hollywood star, Lois Hamilton (also known as Lois Areno) combined brains with beauty—the bombshell flew a 1936 German WWII Bi-plane when she wasn't sculpting, painting, or writing feminist doctrines like Move Over Tarzan. Not bad for an Italian Baroness who made her name as a popular Ford model in the late 1970s! Despite an uncredited start in two Neil Simon films, Last of the Red Hot Lovers (1972) and The Sunshine Boys (1975), the lovely Lois proceeded with a memorable acting career. She appeared in multiple television sitcoms and drama series in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, including spot roles in Starsky and Hutch, Topper, CHiPs, The Dukes of Hazzard, The Love Boat, Three’s Company, Hart to Hart, Hunter, and recurring roles as Debbie Hopper and Marilyn Graham on The Ropers. On the silver screen, she stood out as Seymour’s Girl amongst a star-studded cast in The Cannonball Run (1981) as Roger Moore's pseudo-Bond girl. Next, goofballs went goofy for luscious Lois's hot bod in Stripes (1981), and we were all hot as… when she showed up as Miss Winter in the TV movie Invitation to Hell(1984). But Lois will best be remembered for the comedy Summer Rental (1985)—in fact, she makes the whole film memorable as an insecure blonde who keeps dropping her top to get feedback on her boob job (it’s pretty decent, Mr. Skin is happy to report—and to zoom in on with Skin Vision). Sadly, Lois is only a memory; the beautiful brainy blonde ended her life in 1999 at the age of 57.
