Life with Bonnie

No Nudity

Review

Likeable blonde cutie Bonnie Hunt first won viewer’s hearts in the short-lived but clever sitcom Grand, before moving on to do a gamut of other television projects and such films as Jumanji and Jerry McGuire. She’s also done voice work on such animated blockbusters as A Bug’s Life and Monsters, Inc. In ABC’s Life with Bonnie she plays local TV host Bonnie Molloy, who enjoys a limited form of celebrity (her fans sometimes actually remember her by her name, rather than the moniker of “hey, it’s the TV lady!”). In a page lifted from Woody Allen’s Deconstructing Harry, she begins to take artistic liberties in order to enhance the “true” family anecdotes she tells on the show, much to the chagrin of her real family. Though not exactly a sexpot, Bonnie is a bit of a rubenesque looker with a winning smile and a sharp sense of humor, especially in roles like the chain-smoking manhunting publishing exec in Kissing a Fool. This former cancer ward nurse actually comes off as a bit of a MILF--even though she doesn’t seem to have any rugrats and is only thirty-eight-years-old. She’s the kind of “older woman” that most of us wouldn’t have minded having a crack at while we were doing that thankless summer pool boy job in our teens. Here’s looking forward to more of life with Bonnie.
