Just in case you could never get enough of that goddamn “Obladee, Obladah, Life goes On” song by The Beatles, this show of the same name made sure you got a healthy dose of it every time the opening credits ran. The 1993 family drama enjoyed a five year run and several award nominations (including Golden Globes) for its sensitive portrayal of the Thatcher family and their Downs-Syndrome stricken son Corky (Chris Burke), who managed to fit in at a normal high school despite his disadvantages. Depending on your point of view, the show was either a brilliantly heartwarming family drama or an overly-sentimental load of sugar-coated pap. One thing that can’t be denied, however, is that Kellie Martin, who played the geeky-yet-cute teen daughter Becca Thatcher, has certainly grown into a curvaceous knockout. Kellie, who got her start in acting at age eleven, went on to star in a slew of TV movies and enjoyed a two year run as Doctor Lucy Knight on NBC’s ratings monolith ER. Sadly, she has yet to make a move toward uncovering her comfortable-looking corkies, but co-star Pattie LuPone, who played mama Thatcher, also had her flapjacks snacked upon during a bit of couch sex in Spike Lee’s Summer of Sam. Meanwhile, gorgeous brunette Kiersten Warren has given us a sexy sneak-peek in Liberty Heights and Painted Hero.
