Libertine

Libertine (1986)

Great Nudity!

Review

French-Canadian charmer Mylène Farmer serves up the art with a generous side of body parts in Libertine (1986), a ten-minute feast of foppery and furburgerage set to the synthy sounds of her oh-so-’80s single. It's eighteenth-century France, and no one's wearing their underpants; they care not for propriety, you see—all they want to do is be hard-drinking, pistol-dueling, face-painting libertines! From bouncing bazooms in tit-squeezing costumes to powdered wigs that take up half the room, Libertine has the look of a fancy period flick, but instead of slow, slogging dialogue, it serves up Mylène declaring "I am a libertine, I am a whore" and splashing around in a tub with her fellow full-frontal femmes. Je, je suis horny!
