Lenny

Review

This short-lived comedy centered on Lenny Callahan (stand-up comedian Lenny Clarke), a Boston blue-collar worker moonlighting as a hotel doorperson to make ends meet. It disappeared after a single season, never to be heard of again (unless, of course, you’re reading this right now). Lenny was yet another one of the many sitcoms trying to cash in on the wild success of Seinfeld by bearing a one-word title of the starring comedian’s name. Like most of them, it went nowhere. Clarke ended up on Denis Leary’s sitcom The Job, until that also went tits up. Last we heard, he’s now doing stand-up for high school functions in the Boston area. Weddings and bar-mitzvahs may soon follow. Them’s the breaks in the cutthroat business of comedy. Speaking of tits-up, the lovely Jenna Von Oy was a mere slip of a girl when she starred as Lenny’s daughter at the age of thirteen, but she’s grown up and out in all the right places since then. This full-breasted sandy-blonde beauty gave us an eyeful of her bra-full when she played popularity-starved Shelby in the TV movie Dying to Belong. Not only did she prance around in her unmentionables but she also got up on a table and let other girls in their underwear draw on her delectable young body with magic markers. Now that’s an art class most of us would kill to get into.
