Comparable to a modern day Waltons, the UPN program Legacy was a “wholesome” drama about a family of horse-breeders in post civil war Lexington, Kentucky. The Logan family consists of a widowed father and his two sons, one of which is trying to be a tobacco farmer (since this is the 1800’s, at least he won’t have to deal with any fallout from tobacco industry lawsuits). The patriarch also has two daughters, with the eldest carrying the burden of being lady of the house despite her ragin’ teenage hormones. Although the show was praised as a bastion of “family values” by critics (which is usually cause to be avoided), it only lasted a few episodes before the network burned down the Logans’ barn. The family may have bred exotic horses but never in their wildest dreams could they have come up with something as exotic as co-star Sharon Leal. This absolutely gorgeous black actress, with just a hint of Asian features, is easily one of the most beautiful young women you’re likely to gander on television. She also starred on the FOox network’s Boston Public, where she wore some of the tightest sweaters you could ever hope to see, accentuating every blessed curve of her full, sweet, swollen, bulging, ripe, succulent . . . well, you get the idea.
