Biography

She may share a name with the foggy city, but Lauren London was born under the bright sunshine of Los Angeles, a true Cali girl. After appearing as a dancer in hip hop videos for Pharrell and Snoop Dogg, the luscious Lauren landed the lead role of New New in her first feature film, ATL (2006), for which she was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role at the Black Movie Awards. This led to an appearance as Kelly on TV series Entourage, and to movie roles Melanie “Mel” Whitfield in This Christmas (2007) and Ivy in Next Day Air (2009). In between those two, she returned to TV for the recurring role of Christina Worthy in 90210. The actress also grabbed a gig as Cammy in I Love You, Beth Cooper(2009), where her extremely low-riding pants offered a cheeky line when she bent over in one particularly enjoyable scene. A multi-episode role as Shelley in TV series Single Ladies in 2011-2012, and a part as Sheree in the film Baggage Claim (2013) with Paula Patton and Taye Diggs preceded her famous portrayal of Keira Whitaker in 45 episodes, from 2013-2015, of the BET television series The Game, a spinoff of Girlfriendsfeaturing a group of women who all have relationships with professional football players. Another BET series found her playing the character Vanessa King in Games People Play in 2019. In 2020, Lauren, nickname L-Boogie, returned to the big screen as Tammy in Always and Forever; in 2021, she played Pam Kelly, opposite Michael B. Jordan’s John Kelly, in the flick Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse. And, of course, there is absolutely no remorse for spending any screen time with Lauren.
