La Femme Nikita (1997-1998)

In USA's La Femme Nikita, Section One, a clandestine anti-terrorist organization specializing in high level contract killings, fakes the death of a jailed, convicted murderer serving a life sentence named Nikita (Peta Wilson) and trains her in the fighting skills necessary to be an assassin. However, despite being a convicted murderer, Nikita has a conscience and doesn't like to kill, so she’s not exactly the ideal candidate, or one that's particularly enthused about the job. But eventually, the stone cold fox becomes an ice cold assassin! A loose remake of the 1990 Luc Besson thriller, this Canadian-made series started out rough when it debuted in 1997, but made a long slow climb to the level of cult favorite. But cult favorites have a notoriously shaky level of security in the world of TV; when the USA Network announced at the end of the fourth season that they were dumping the series, fans got angry. Then they got organized. Pooling their money and gathering in numbers, Nikita fans paid for a full page ad in TV Guide telling the powers that be that they’d made a huge mistake killing off this quality series. The suits eventually relented, ordering a further half-season of the show, but by that point half the cast had moved on to other projects, and with replacement actors where old favorites used to be, the love just wasn’t there anymore. What a shame. Nikita's relationship with her fellow assassin Michael (Roy Dupuis) was a big part of the show, which meant there were at least a few sexual situations that didn't end with Nikita offing some mark before he gets off to her beautiful blonde body. While bra and panty stuff was common, in one episode we see la bum of Nikita when Peta Wilson gets out of bed after doing the deed with her beau. The buns are great, but looking at those hitman hooters had us begging to see-em Nikita! Don't tell PETA, but we were choking our chicken to Peta Wilson watching La Femme Nikita!
