La casa que arde de noche (1985)

Mexican beauty Sonia Infante was pushing forty when she appeared in the ripe, erotic melodrama La Casa que arde de noche (1985), but you can see that she’s still looking better than women half her age. Boasting one of the most famous racks in Mexican screen history, even in middle age Infante certainly isn’t shy about flaunting her assets. It’s quite a feat to distract viewers from some of the bizarre set pieces in René Cardona Jr.’s film--revolving beds and faux-Japanese teahouses are par for the course--but Infante’s fabulous frame makes it hard to concentrate on anything else. The one exception would have to be Gabriela Roel; the graceful young actress does an admirable job keeping up with fiery Infante during a revealing dip in the tub.
