La belle (2000)

Here’s a Korean production that really celebrates the differences in our cultures. La Belle (2000), a.k.a. Mi in, stars Ji-ho Oh as a young writer whose enigmatic new lover is always running off when her cell phone rings at odd hours. An American film would have the guy worrying that his new girlfriend is a call girl. The gorgeous Lee Ji-hyun, however, assures her boyfriend that she’s simply running out all the time because she’s a nude model. This gets the guy worrying that she’s actually meeting with her secret lover--because that would be like, you know, cheating. Fortunately, the couple tries to work things out while Lee is constantly working her way out of her clothes. If she’s not a nude model, she’s wasting some natural talent!
