Biography

The daughter of three working actors (there’s a step-mom in there, too), you could say German girl Katharina Schubert was born to be in show biz. Blonde, 5’7”, with a round face and girl-next-door good looks, she was a natural fit for television movies and series, and dominated the little screen for the bulk of her career. Her debut was in Weißblaue Geschichten in 1983 at age 20, but she took a few years off before she came back, ready to pile up the credits. Katharina’s first feature film (and one of only three she’s done) was Japaner sind die besseren Liebhaber (1995), aka Japanese are better Lovers, in the role of Anna Merz, where her topless self can be seen with side boob via the perfect mirror angle. Her first regular TV gig was in Zoff und Zärtlichkeit in 1995, followed by the part of Roswitha Fischer in Die Camper in 1997. Other popular series roles, among the 50+ TV shows the Wiesbaden-born babe has appeared in, include Dr. Illona Bachschuster in Bronski & Bernstein in 2001, Claudia Fahrenkamp in Drei mit Herz from 1999-2002, Constanze in Bei aller Liebe from 2001-2003, Here Comes Kalle in 2006 playing Pia Andresen, Eine für alle – Frauen können’s besserin 2009 playing Lilli Lemcke, Gabriele Hagen in 2010-2011 on In aller Freundschaft, and various characters in the required-for-German-actors Tatort, ranging from 1988-2014. Katharina has also done over 20 made-for-TV movies, like leading roles in Love Letters – Liebe per Nachnahme (2001), Seducing My Husband (2007), Das Glück am Horizont (2008), and Sara Stein: Shalom Berlin, Shalom Tel Aviv (2016). And now Mr. Skin needs a nap after figuring out where all those weird letters are hidden in his computer.
