She’s no star, but Karen Austin is one of the busiest and most popular actresses in Los Angeles. Born on October 24, 1955, in Welch, West Virginia, Karen earned her Masters in Theatre and Philosophy at Northwestern University before making her way to Hollywood. She started out on stage, earning a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award and a Dramalogue Award for Lead Performance in the play NUTS. In addition to being a respected figure in Los Angeles theater and a member of the Screen Actors Guild, Karen is constantly on call for any number of small roles in movies, sitcoms, and television dramas. But could her friends please get her to take off her clothes? Karen didn’t even disrobe for her uncredited role in HBO’s breast-happy Breast Men (1997). Fortunately, Karen’s kiwis were showcased at their MILFish peak with her role as John Candy’s wife in Summer Rental (1985). Hot off her short stint as a court clerk on the first season of Night Court, Karen flirted with former co-star John Laroquette in one of this film’s many subplots. It’s a rare opportunity to marvel at Karen’s bod in a bikini--and the film’s crew seems to agree. Just check out those camera angles!
