Biography

Joy Harmon may not be the most recognizable name in showbiz, but she may have the most recognizable rack of '60s cinema! How the hell did Luke keep his hands cool when this 41-22-36 frame came out of her shack and started soaping up her jalopy with her own natural sponges? Beats(off) us! Before she was making new men out of co-stars and viewers, Joy made plenty of deposits in Connecticut's spank-banky as the state's top beauty queen. She later became a regular on the variety show Tell It to Groucho after Groucho Marx took a liking to her (gee, we wonder why...). Ms. Harmon then brought joy to millions of TV viewers by making guest spots on popular series such as The Beverly Hillbillies, My Three Sons, Burke's Law, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Gidget, Batman, Bewitched, and The Monkees. Naturally, movie producers came knocking. Joy answered, appropriately, with her enormous knockers. She's a blonde, big-yum-yumed bombshell in Under the Yum Yum Tree (1963), a building-sized go-go dancer in Village of the Giants (1965), and a bubbly bargoer in A Guide for the Married Man (1967). Her screen career didn't last long; she was out of the business by 33. We don't know how she filled all of the subsequent years but we do know that she opened a bakery called "Aunt Joy's Cakes." Although her products look delicious, to get the best taste of Joy you need to check out Cool Hand Luke (1967). She spills a lot of liquid in that film--and so will you while watching it.
