What does Jolene Carroll have in common with Megan Fox, Renée Zellweger, and Marilyn Monroe? The starlets have all been film extras. Megan was first seen as a club dancer in the background of Michael Bay’s action sequel Bad Boys 2 (2003). Renée was one of the hazed freshmen in Richard Linklater’s retro-set comedy Dazed and Confused (1993). And Marilyn’s first film appearance is in Scudda Hoo! Scudda Hay! (1948). Forty years later, Jolene popped up in Search and Destroy (1988). The thriller deals with a chemical plant which releases a virus that gives people a strange psychosis. A similar effect could describe our feelings for this hour-glass shaped ingenue since we’re crazy about her curves. Alas, it’s a challenge to find her in films. Indeed, locating Jolene is the real mystery about the mystery Hush (1998). We can clearly see Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Lange, but unless you know Ms. Carroll is playing the church warden she could go unnoticed. Similarly, Joan Allen swept up all the attention (plus a Best Actress Oscar nomination) for The Contender (2000). Yet if you look closely, you’ll see Jolene as the maid in this political flick. Of course, Mr. Skin is mad about Jo’s nude debut in the historical drama Iron Jawed Angels (2004). During a jail scene in the televised suffragette saga, the skintastic actress (along with naked leading ladies Frances O’Connor and Vera Farmiga) proves baby got back and a big bare butt. In other words, she puts the X into extra!
