Bad cops make good TV. That’s certainly the case in the excellent F/X series The Shield. It stars Michael Chiklis, who has come a long way from playing John Belushi in Wired (1989) and portraying a cop on the hit TV drama The Commish. He plays the crooked detective who leads a team of criminal peace officers who are more interested in getting a piece of the pie, whether that’s money or honey. And they get a lot of both. Thanks to the series being produced on a cable network, there’s also ample nudity, though it’s usually hard to see with the fast edits. Still, the mean streets of Los Angeles are filled with heavenly angels who can’t wait to spread their wings for the bad boys of the LAPD.

As We Count Down to the 81st Annual Academy Awards on February 22nd, Mr Skin Pays Tribute to the Twenty Actresses Who Took Home Oscar Gold for Films in Which They Flashed Flesh

Few actresses make nude debuts as explosive as Jodie Foster’s in The Accused. (Jodie’s earlier nude scenes in The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane were actually doubled by her older sister, as Jodie was underage during filming.) Though she does offer up a good amount of boobage in The Accused, it all comes during a brutal rape scene. Still, the Academy awarded Jodie’s efforts—as they would three years later for Silence of the Lambs—with an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Luckily Jodie followed up her win with more-pleasant nude scenes in Backtrack and Nell, but neither brought her Oscar gold, though Nell did score her a fourth nomination.

The first time I remember anyone getting really excited about a girl becoming legal was when a friend of mine at work showed me a site that was dedicated to the countdown until Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson turned 18. I wasn't much older than the twins at the time so I just rolled my eyes at him the way I usually did when someone made a point to remind me that I was so young as I found it intensely boring.
This is not to say that I didn't know exactly WHY he was so pumped- I get it, you can fuck her now and not get arrested, congrats! But really, we are all thinking the same thing it's just a matter of preference. I wasn't into the twins (although I do like them now, Mary-Kate is sexy in Weeds) but once Lindsay caught my eye in Freaky Friday and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen- I had a countdown of my own going on...
