Forget the rain in Spain—let’s talk about Irene Montalà, who is anything but plain. The bewitching Barcelona beauty made her debut as Júlia in the television series Poble Nou in 1994, playing the part for 156 episodes when she was 18-years old. She dabbled in more little-screen shows until she landed her first role in a feature film, as the character Africa in the comedy Una piraña en el bidé (1996), aka A piranha in the toilet. Next up on the big screen was Alba in Beloved/Friend (1999), then a gig as Marta, a gal with tiger-striped hair in the drama Fausto 5.0 (2001), where she pulls off her shirt for a good look at her cheerful perkies (and the gum in her mouth). Irene repeats the topless turn as another character named Marta in the dramatic film Nubes de verano (2004), aka Summer Clouds. The nubile starlet takes it one step further in the movie Russian Dolls(2005), a French and English film (with some Russian, Spanish, and Italian thrown in for good measure) where she plays Neus, a woman who runs down the street fully naked after an argument with her beau; there’s all three Bs on display for everyone’s viewing pleasure, and what a pleasure it is to meet Irene’s complete acquaintance. In 2006, she picked up another big role on TV, as Judith Blanchard in Mar de fonsfrom 2006-2007, and went straight through 2019 working on one series or another (sometimes two at once) in major roles.
