In the Cold of the Night (1989)

Some women are almost impossible to dislodge once they have insinuated themselves into the subconscious lizard regions of a guy's brain. In his attempts to exorcize all remnants of the haunting harridan from his mind and soul, a man might indulge in outlandish ritual behavior. He might go so far as to dream of murdering the invasive lady, again and again, night after night. And if that man is a photographer by vocation, you can bet that these killings will be graphic and stylized and that the woman thus dispatched (if only temporarily) will have a sexual allure that is neither accidental nor fleeting.
