Review

In Bruno Corbucci’s lighthearted comedy Il Ficcanaso (1980) a delivery boy (Pippo Franco) gets a surprise parcel of his own when a dead body appears in his apartment. Wracked by fear, the young messenger seeks the aid of Lino (Sergio Leonardi), an overworked police chief who refuses to spend time tending to the timid young man. Corbucci milks plenty of uproarious comedy from the pair’s blustery encounters, but it’s a supporting performance from the unbeatable Edwige Fenech that proves the showstopper. Fenech is gratuitously nude in two separate and scintillating scenes.
